We truly understand that buying a mobile home is a big decision and below provide you with answers to the most commonly asked questions by potential buyers in our over 40 years in business. This will help you to better understand the process of buying a mobile home with us, and in deciding if it’s the right decision for you and your family.

How can I purchase a mobile home in the Burrow Holiday Park?

So that we can attend to your specific needs, the first step is to register your interest by completing and submitting the above form to join our waiting list. As mobile homes become available for purchase on site, and they meet with your registered needs, we will get in touch. It is essential to be aware that any purchase must be made directly from Burrow Holiday Park and never from a private individual.

How much does a new mobile home typically cost?

The current average price for a new mobile home at Burrow Holiday Park is 80k, with starting prices of circa 60k. The sky is the limit regarding the higher end of the scale. The price of a new mobile home is dictated by the make, model and specification and a premium for being an owner at Burrow Holiday Park. All new units are supplied through the Park, and sourced only from approved agents in Ireland.

How much does a pre-owned mobile home cost?

The cost of pre-owned mobile homes depends on the age, specification, condition and of course, the market. Most recent sales of pre-owned mobile homes are in the range of 25k-65k.

What is included in the purchase price?

Furniture, fixtures and fittings are always included in the purchase. In the case of a pre-owned mobile home, previous owners may leave items such as kettles, microwaves, delph, cutlery, etc. Similarly, site ancillaries such as decking, and sheds are normally included. It will always be made clear to the purchaser before any sale is agreed on what is included and important to be aware that the annual licence fee is always in addition to the purchase price of the mobile home.

If I purchase a mobile home on-site, do I own the site?

No, when purchasing a mobile home sited on the Park, it is the mobile home that is being purchased and becomes your property– not the site on which the mobile home is located. The site is provided to the purchaser through the terms outlined in the site licence agreement and is at all times the property of Burrow Holiday Park.

Do you operate an Upgrading Policy?

Yes, Burrow Holiday Park operates a 15-year upgrading policy. This means that when the mobile home is 15 years old, it must be replaced, as per the terms of the site licence agreement. Owners are always free to upgrade at any time within the 15-year upgrading term should their needs change.

How can I sell my mobile home?

Once you are an owner and decide to sell your mobile home, you can do so privately off-site, or through the Park on-site. To sell your mobile home on-site, it must be under 12 years old at the time of sale.  It is essential to be aware that should you choose to sell your mobile home on-site, you can only do so through the Park and never privately.  The terms of selling your mobile home both on and off-site are outlined in the site licence agreement, which you sign annually.

Can I rent out my mobile home?

No, you cannot rent out your mobile home under any circumstances and this is a strictly adhered to term of your license. You can however allow extended family and friends to occupy your mobile home, but you must register their stay with us in advance. Please note that the owner is at all times responsible for the behaviour of any guests, as outlined in the site licence agreement.

Do you charge an entrance fee?

No, we do not charge an entrance fee, which is also sometimes known as a ‘gate fee’.

What are the costs of purchasing a mobile home at Burrow Holiday Park?

The upfront costs of purchasing a mobile home on the Park are the mobile home itself, the site licence fee for the current year (€3,985 for the current 2024 season) and the cost of insuring your mobile home. 

The ongoing costs include: 

  • Annual Site Licence Fee (Please note this fee is subject to change each year)
  • Mobile Home Insurance (This is an annual cost)
  • Electricity Usage: Each mobile home is metered individually and owners are billed at the end of each season based on their own specific usage.
  • Gas: Both heating and cooking in the mobile home operate on bottled gas. We are a registered gas supplier and provide a delivery service of gas to our owners, which is ordered and purchased from reception as needed.
